Eliana (Ellie) Barth (b. 2002) is a NYC & Hudson Valley based music director, pianist, composer and educator. She is currently music directing and/or playing keyboard for various productions including The Addams Family, Cinderella, The Sound of Music, and The Drowsy Chaperone. Eliana recently performed at the Green Room 42.
Eliana is a collaborative pianist with strengths in a variety of genres and styles of music, including musical theatre, chamber, and opera. While in college, she served as a collaborative pianist for the La Musica Lirica Young Artist Program, working with opera singers from all over the world. This July, she will be traveling to Bulgaria and Italy as a collaborative pianist for the Varna International Music Academy.
Eliana is a composer and orchestrator with experience writing for strings, choirs, bands, and orchestras. She is currently writing a new choral work and is also creating on an original musical. Eliana is also a singer-songwriter and is working on her first album. Recorded samples of her work can be found here.
Eliana is a spirited music educator, currently teaching 5th and 6th Grade General Music & Chorus in the Hudson Valley. She runs a private music studio, offering piano, violin, voice and composition lessons. She specializes in choral music education and has experience conducting choirs of all ages.
Eliana recently graduated from the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam with a B.M. in Music Education and a B.M. in Music Composition. She was very active as a student musician, presenting multiple recitals in solo piano, composition, and collaborative piano. She directed and conducted SUNY Potsdam’s LoKo Broadway Showcase entitled “Broadway Hits and Misfits,” a program entirely created by her and executed by both her and her colleagues.
